Scartichthys viridis is a species of combtooth blenny in the genus Scartichthys.[2] It is found in the southeast Pacific ocean, from Peru to Chile.[2] Blennies in this species feed primarily off of plants (including benthic algae and weeds), phytoplankton, amphipods, and mollusks.[3] It was named by Achille Valenciennes in 1836,[4] and can reach a maximum length of 19.7 centimetres.[2]
